Roy is a delight to work with! Very energetic and knew how to keep a crowd going and partying! We would recommend him or his team for Weddings, but we would also recommend him for any party you are going to have.

I would not recommend Roy for any occasion. He took a long time to respond to any request I made and he gave me a hard time when I made specific suggestions. He was very inappropriate around our female guests, some of whom commented about how uncomfortable he made them. I was not impressed at all with him and I expected much more based on his experience. Spend your money elsewhere because Roy is not worth it.

He has been a DJ in Charlotte for the last 20 years so he knows his stuff. He has a great system and was set up. He was supposed to mike my husband but forgot. The one issue I had is that I changed the song list about a month and a half before the wedding. I emailed him the new song list but he was still functioning off of the old one. In the email I had labeled the discs I sent and he did not have that either. He went on vacation right before my wedding so maybe he was rushed. Also, he got into a car accident on the way to the venue. Everything ended up working out but I should have called to make sure he got the new song list and list of songs I had sent on the CD.

I decided to go with Roy because of his affordability and his personality. We met at his house at first and my husband and I enjoyed his company and personality seemed to fit well with us and we thought he would be perfect. I felt as though he did a good job, however I remember having to ask my husband to have him turn down the music at times during the ceremony, because it was to loud and we had older adults at our wedding. I also gave Roy explicit instructions on who was in my bridal party and who would be escorted by who and what music to play. When we arrived at our reception Roy came over to me and had me recite the names again to him and in what order. He also joked that he was in the shower at 2:30 realizing that he needed to be at our reception site at that time. We had an agreement that he would be at the reception site set up while guest mingled and ate during the cocktail hour playing background music, no dj'ing. This was somewhat of a touchy area in our contract, because he wanted to charge me to the "background" noise even though no guests would be in the dining hall. He also had me give him the CD that we had purchased with some songs that we wanted. He burned it without asking and then "lost" it initially, before finding it and giving it to my parents that evening. He also did not listen the song requests that I had asked him to play at different times. He was an ok DJ, but I would recommend others first before him.
