Rev. Victoria Hutchins

Rev. Victoria came out to our location, a remote area of NC mountains where we had our cabin and gladly performed our ceremony. Additionally, it was very important to have our dog at the ceremony and she understood and accommodated our request. We're very pleased with the service she provided.

Victoria was absolutely wonderful! We live in Ohio and were looking for a quiet place to elope near Lake Lure, NC. For a small fee, she provided a service on her beautiful property, personalized our service to meet our needs, and her husband took pictures! It was quiet, and beautiful. Everything we wanted. She even helped me get my hard to tie up dress on! She handled all the paperwork, gave us our copies, and sent us on our way to our honeymoon. It was absolutely a hassle free elopement! I'd do it all over again!

Reverend Hutchins surpassed our expectations and provided my husband and me with the most romantic, intimate and perfect wedding day. Even my husband gives her two thumbs up! I am so glad we found Victoria. Her attention to detail and genuine desire to make our day perfect was so appreciated.

I had a destination wedding in Burnsville, NC. I live in Columbus, OH so the planning wasn't easy. I found Victoria online and read some great reviews. I e-mailed her and the very next day she called me. After speaking with her I knew she was the one! She had my day open and she even volunteered to drive 60 miles to my wedding site! She helped us plan our ceremony all by e-mail! It was customized perfectly just for us! She has all sorts of ceremony options or you can custom make your own! We had the whole ceremony finshed and printed weeks before the wedding so I had one less thing to worry about! The day of the wedding she arrived on time and was everything I had hoped for! I would recommend her to any bride! I'm so lucky to have had her for my big day!

I found Rev. Victoria Hutchins through Chimney Rock's website as I was planning my wedding at Lake Lure. I called and spoke with her and immediately felt as ease and excited about her performing the ceremony. She emailed me copies of several different types of services that she performs and my husband and I picked of everything. She was so easy to work with and had just an abundance of wonderful information and ideas that helpe tailor the ceremony to be what we wanted...something different, special and very meaningful! When it came time for the ceremony, she did an absolutely wonderful, amazing job!! Everyone who attended complimented her for performing one of the most beautiful cermonies that they have ever seen. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Rev. Hutchins. While planning our destination wedding we had to rely a great deal on the internet for reviews and information about vendors. We were looking for someone who would be easy to work with and could help us design a ceremony that was perfect for our small family oriented wedding. When I found Rev. Hutchins on WeddingWire and read some of her fantastic reviews I knew we needed to contact her first. From day one she was extremely helpful and responded to every email within hours. She sent us numerous options for ceremonies and helped us build something that was unique to our tastes. On the day of the wedding, she officiated a beautiful ceremony and helped to maintain a stress free day. We could not have asked for a better person to lead our ceremony. She made the whole process seemless from start to finish and we would recommend her to anyone planning on getting married in the area.

Victoria Hutchins performed our wedding cermony at Rivermist. She was very proffessional and provided us answers to all our questions promptly. Mike and I lived out of town and we communicated via email and telephone. She was very quick to respond to questions that we had as we planned our wedding. She worked with us and provided us many resources as we planned our personallzed wedding. With Victoria's assistance and guidance Mike and I had the wedding of our dreams. Victoria provides a service that is top quality and she values what she does to help others.

I was planning a North Carolina wedding from all the way in Florida and wasn't going to be able to make it up prior to the actual wedding to meet with anyone. I found Reverend Victoria and she made everything so simple! She is fantastic when it comes to responding to e-mails right away, flexible with the details of the wedding (we kept changing things on her!), and wrote a beautiful ceremony that was tailored to exactly what we wanted. She also is completely open to changes you want to make and really strives to make the ceremony YOUR ceremony. When the actual day of the wedding came and we finally got to meet her we were even more impressed! You can tell she really cares about what she does and having that great energy coming from the person marrying you makes the ceremony even more special. She's professional yet warm and personal. If you're getting married in the Asheville area then Reverend Victoria is surely the way to go!

Hi Victoria, We just got home last night. What a wonderful vacation/ honeymoon!!! We did alot of sightseeing in your beautiful state. I got up this morning and told Michael that I'm sure it's not gonna be 68 degrees outside like it was there. haha. Thank you so much for making our day so special. I feel blessed to have met you. You carry such a peaceful, spiritual demeanor. The day was magical for us---thanks to you and your husband. We were looking at the pics last night. Absolutely awesome. I wonder if you would be able to email me a copy of the ceremony. The words you spoke were so amazing and I just wanted to reread it when I'm not so overwhelmed. If not, that's ok. Victoria is absolutely amazing to work with. I felt as if I had been friends with her forever. She responded promptly anytime I had a question. We met in person over coffee to get better acquainted. She was definitely on top of it all. She sent me a note the week prior to our wedding to remind me of a few things. Our ceremony couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone commented on how wonderful she was and how did I find her. And after our ceremony I went back to her earlier email which had a wonderful list of how to change your name and which accounts to change that I hadn't even thought of. Absolutely Wonderful.

I could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding. We live out of state and had to do everything through email. Victoria made us feel welcomed, was very easy to talk to and get along with. Her husband Guy, who did our photography, was just as great. These two have outstanding skills that sure to impress you and everyone else involved. We literally felt like we had met long lost family members when we finally were able to meet them on our wedding day. I recommend them to anyone and everyone if you want A+ service and no stress. I can't thank them enough for how perfect everything turned out.

Victoria provided a service that made our special day truly wonderful. She was able to anticipate questions we hadn't even thought of yet and guide us along the way. The spot by the stream was perfect for us and even though we chose a day that was very hot, 107 to be exact, it was still comfortable in the shade by the babbling stream. The ceremony had been put together exactly as we asked and even improved in a way that only someone with a thoughtful and kind heart could. Her obvious experience and desire to make a very special memory for us was evident in every detail. The pictures were great and such an added value. We would most highly recommend this option without any hesitation. Thank you Victoria, and keep making sweet memories for others.

If I could give 10s for all of the categories above I would! Victoria and Guy made our wedding day absolutely perfect and treated us like family! We chose to have a private elopement and it was the best decision ever. Our families and friends are so happy to see the amazing pics to get a glimpse into what it was like. I've made a couple photo books for us and our parents and they look professional! We loved everything about our trip, especially the wedding and time spent with at RiverMist (Victoria and Guy's private retreat which is beautiful and the perfect backdrop for a ceremony), the B&B we stayed at in Asheville, hiking at Dupont Forest, going out on a paddle boat on a lake, exploring Asheville and eating the most amazing meals ever. It was the perfect way to start our marriage ... which feels fantastic so far. We even got the marriage licenses just a few days after we got married - Victoria mailed the info in right away. I've already sent Victoria's info to the daughter of a friend of my Dad's who's mom saw the pics and wanted to know more:) Hopefully we can send more great couples her way! It was such a joy meeting Victoria and Guy and so special and absolutely perfect to share our special day with them.

Victoria was very easy to work with and provided the customized, non denominational ceremony that we were looking for. We absolutely loved the vows that Victoria helped us create.

Reverend Hutchins was wonderful. Our "short-notice" ceremony was treated as if the planning had taken much longer. She provided us with very professional and personal service that made our day extremely memorable. We would recommend her to anyone for any type of service.

Rev. Victoria went out of her way to make our wedding day special. Friends and family are still talking about our beautiful love-filled ceremony. When we started planning our wedding we didn't have a clue where to start. Upon our request, she immediately began offering advice and suggestions. She responded to our phone calls and emails amazingly fast. Her calming presence on our wedding day helped keep the entire wedding party stress-free. As I was the groom and not the bride, I can only speak to my perception but I hope the following is useful; I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Victoria and Guy for the lovely ceremony you arranged for Kara and me. I never imagined I would marry so I had no idea what my wedding would look like. Our ceremony at Rivermist was all I expected and more. The most overwhelming part was trying to narrow down all the options you provided us. I have seen my siblings go through the whole church/wedding/guest nightmare and was so thrilled that all I had to concentrate on that day was how lucky I was to be marrying the most wonderful woman in the world. You were able to assimilate and accommodate requests from both of us while managing to create a sense of peace, serenity, and flow to the ceremony. Everything was absolutely perfect, I would only have asked for more snow (not your department)! For couples who desire a quiet, intimate ceremony where the main focus is on each other, I would highly recommend looking into Rivermist. It was undoubtedly the single most wonderful day of my life. Victoria was so wonderful to work with us!! We had to change our original date and she immediately provided the date of our second choice. She sent us a copy of our ceremony and we were able to make any changes we chose. We opted to have a small, private ceremony at RIVERMIST, and once we arrived, we were made to feel very much at home!! The background was breathtaking...the sun was shining on our faces and we had the sound of the river immediately behind us. The wording of the ceremony was simply beautiful!! My nine year old son was included in the vows and in the sand ceremony, which made him feel very much a part of things. Victoria even presented him with a polished pink quartz stone in a velvet bag as his reminder of the day. We were presented with a copy of our vows and ceremony, along with a lovely marriage keepsake certificate!! We also received over 40 photographs, taken with professional quality. We have had several comments on how natural they made us look!! If you want a wedding that has memories to last a lifetime, I would suggest using Victoria as your officiant. And I thank her from the bottom of my heart, for making my special day so memorable!!

Whew! What a wonderful ceremony! I can not elaborate enough on all the kind time and thought Victoria put into our wedding ceremony at their retreat center RiverMist, which I heard about through an online search. The location was perfect! In fact, it was more gorgeous and beautiful than pictures are able to capture. I loved the sound of the stream and her home was beautiful inside and out - making each setting for the pictures really nice! She and her husband were very welcoming, which was a huge relief, since we were unable to meet before the ceremony. Nothing was rushed. We were given as much time as we needed to change and get ready during our big day. Even small weddings take alot of planning. The relief of finally getting married in a way we loved, no longer worrying about family getting along and finding RiverMist, etc. were released upon finally meeting Victoria. I had to keep myself from crying all during the ceremoy! The reception was certainly a nice way to relax and breathe. That being said, I am especially grateful to her husband, Guy, for capturing beautiful pictures with us smiling that my family and I can cherish. I was soo glad he knew the ropes and took professional looking photography even though I was terribly shy and weepy! My ceremony and pictures were certainly everthing I hoped for and more. Plus, the cake was delicious and made it home to Chapel Hill, along with my beautiful flowers that she helped arrange with a local florist! The high quality of the flowers, cake, photos, location and care put into the service were unbelievable for the small price. As graduate students, we never expected to get such a wonderful package for our tiny budget!
