Very quality result, personality and professionalism could use some work, but all in all a great vendor.

Jeanne and her staff were wonderful, she was able to pull together and accommodate our last minute wedding in Lake Lure, my hair was so beautiful, and lasted thru our reception, my 2 brides maids looked amazing as well, and she even had time to do my mother,which we had not planned during our consultation, I would highly recommend Jeanne and her staff , they were on time, fast & friendly, and her prices were very reasonable even with the travel

Where to start. I arranged for two stylists to do hair for myself, my bridesmaids and two flower girls. Jeanne said she would do my hair, and then would split the other girls with the other stylist. When I showed up, there was one other stylist, two trainees and no Jeanne. Apparently she had booked another wedding that morning, and would show up at the end to do my hair. While doing my hair, she was too busy chatting it up with the other stylists to see that she was ripping my hair out while trying to curl it with her nasty curling iron, bringing me to tears. I had asked her to fix a couple of pieces that looked odd, but instead of loosening the hair, she pulled it tighter against my head. She just wouldn't listen to what I was asking her. When she was finally finished, the style was NOTHING like the picture of the front and back of the hair style I wanted. NOTHING at all like it. To top it off, it started falling out before I even got in my dress and didn't last through the ceremony.The trainee who did one of my bridesmaids so totally botched her hair, she looked like trailer trash. The other stylist, the supposedly professional one, left my 15 year old bridesmaid with a 60's bouffant in the front. One of the trainees had to fix it twice to look halfway decent.When they were finished, Jeanne attempted to collect more money from me. I had paid my deposit and balance two months prior to the event so I would not have to worry about paying her the day of (there was enough to worry about that day).Bottom line - this salon is NOT professional, the stylists do NOT know what they are doing, the price is NOT worth it and do not trust your hair on your wedding day to any of them.

Jeanne did my hair for my wedding and it looked great. When I look back at the pictures I think of what a great job she did on me, and two of my bridesmaids.

Appearances Salon was perfect for my wedding day! The shop was flexible with timing, it gave us very competitive prices, and created a cheerful atmosphere for the big day. My bridesmaids and moms were thrilled with their hair, and it was great to be able to relax together in a calm environment before things got crazy. And Jeanne is an absolute pro for wedding updos - I have pretty tricky hair, but she did a beautiful job and it stayed in place all day and all night. They are great with makeup as well... mine came out better than I could have imagined and it lasted forever. Definitely a great choice - I'd recommend Appearances for anyone's wedding.
