I cannot say enough about Mandy and Linda at An English Flower Cottage - they are truly, truly, truly AMAZING!! Absolutely phenomenal!! From the first phone call and first meeting, we knew we had the right florists. They are so friendly and warm and easy to talk to. We were continually impressed with their level of professionalism and experience. We came in with a few ideas about what we liked and they were able to take those ideas and completely transform our whole wedding into a dream! They always had really great advice and an attention to detail that is matched by no one! Also, they had reallly great relations with our other vendors (we had our wedding at the Lake Lure Inn), and that made things much easier, I think. Everyone you talk to sing praises about these ladies, so I was really excited to see what they put together. They were super flexible and responsive. They worked with us to stay within our budget and to still have such an amazing quality. My guests are STILL talking about how beautiful everything was (from the ceremony to the reception)!! My fiancee and I moved to another country before our wedding, and they were always available on the phone, skype or an email away whenever we needed them. Because we were planning from so far away, we trusted them 100% and they completely nailed it! Additionally, Mandy helped us with the wedding planning and she was a savior! Everything went PERFECT. I think back on our wedding and there is nothing that could have gone better. It was exactly what we wanted. Everytime I thought about something that needed to be done, Mandy was one step ahead and had already taken care of it. I never felt stressed the whole day because Mandy was on top of it all. On top of everything, they really made us feel like it was "our" day and it was all about us! They really made our wedding an unforgettable weekend and cannot thank them enough!

My daughter Ashley's wedding was perfect. Mandy and Linda made her dream come true. The flowers were beyound beautiful. Mandy was our savior as our wedding planner we could not have possibly made it through the week end without her caring and quidance. The wedding was everything we dreamed about and more. God bless you Mandy and Linda for all that yu did and for the kind,wonderful,caring individuals that you are. My husband and I feel that we have found new friends and Ashley and Scott have started their journey on an extremely positive foundation. An English Flower Cottage did an amazing job for our wedding. Mandy and Linda are great to work with. From picking out flowers to decorating the gazebo and dining room they were there every step of the way with ideas, suggestions and photos. If you can picture it, these ladies can accomplish it. Mandy & Linda are wonderful! They make your ideas come to life. I had ideas but they took my ideas and made them so much more personal and appealing. Our daughter was married on November 5, 2011 at Lake Lure Inn. She was fortunate to find Mandy and Linda at An English Flower Cottage to coordinate the flowers and decorations for her wedding. We received so many compliments on the beautiful fall flowers and room decorations. One Inn employee was kind enough to say it was one of the most beautiful weddings he had seen at Lake Lure. The morning after one couple asked for Manady's name and number. As our daughter and attendants were removing their things from the Concierage Room, a few guests stopped to say how beautiful the flowers and rooms looked. Everything Mandy and Linda created from the bouquets, to the Gazebo, to the table decor was exceptionally beautiful and stunning. (However, the candy and favor table was my favorite!) The coordination for the rehersal and wedding was excellent. I will always remember their kindness and attentiveness throughout the afternoon and evening, especially with my "zipper snafu"! I can not say enough about these two highly talented and creative ladies. Please give An English Flower Cottage a call, I believe you will not be disappointed !!

Mandy is AWESOME! An English Flower Cottage is a very unique florist. I have been in the flower business for over 25 years and I can tell you that the care and professionalism that Mandy and her team displayed was amazing. Her attention to detail, her tenacity to get it right and her ability to blend into the event is rare. This is a top notch florist with an added element of event planning. Great, great, great! I had lots of ideas when I first approached Mandy about doing flowers for our wedding. She really helped me figure out a direction and I couldn't have asked for better results. We didn't want to do anything mainstream, so she built us moss/flower bases for lanterns that served as a centerpieces. They were so cozy and unique. And the bouquets were absolutely stunning. They were really gorgeous. They did a great job and didn't need any direction on the wedding day. All of it was taken care without any trouble. Mandy even used some extra decorations I had to beef things up a bit.

We have received so many compliments about the overall beauty of our wedding from men [can you believe they do notice?] and women. My mom [the MOB] and I have both been told that it was the "most beautiful wedding" that many people had ever attended. We say: "thank you" to An English Flower Cottage without whom, we might have been just another June 2011 nuptial...but instead, my husband and I will have the priceless gift of having been prince & princess of our own royal wedding. The outdoor setting at Lake Lure, NC with the mountains and the clear blue sky for the 11:00am ceremony, provided a stunning backdrop for the floral creations by the Cottage gals.....who were so very wonderful to team up with to plan a wedding. For our wedding and reception, An English Flower Cottage provided the additional services of overall coordination. They always had a willingness to talk by phone or meet to brainstorm and "invent" [as the MOB would call it] over the pre-nup period of at least nine months. We brought pictures from brides' magazines of special florals to these meetings to develop a vision along with the Cottage gals of how we hoped my wedding would come together. The bridal bouquet was one of our "gotta have" photos which we shared....probably at the very first meeting. On the wedding day, my mom and I both were in awe of my bouquet; it was perfect in every way and exactly what I had wanted. The Cottage gals gave us expert advice/opinions on selections from the color palette on everything from table linens to floral arches to decor for the trolley that transported the guests from the Lake Lure Inn to the ceremony site by the gazebo at the lake. No detail was ever to small to discuss with them....and they could not have been better listeners. In summary, An English Flower Cottage made all those magazine pictures come to life on the most special day of my life and provided excellent caring services which allowed my mom and me to enjoy the "blooms" of our labor.

My entire family was extremely impressed with the beauty of the flowers at our wedding. They came, set up the flowers and left without causing a big fuss or requiring anything from me. It was wonderful and stress free! They were also fabulous! everything from the bouquet to the petals down the isle! Perfect for my day, I was so happy with them! Thank you!

Mandy and her staff provided the flowers and wedding coordination for my Son's wedding at the Lake Lure Inn on May 21, 2011. From the very first meeting, Mandy created a comfortable and pleasant environment. She provided expert advice and direction that helped the bride and groom design a beautiful blending of each of their desires for the flowers and decorations. My daughter recently married at the 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa in N.C. Mandy and Linda created absolutely, exactly what we envisioned for the ceremony and reception. From the moment we met them, we knew that we’d enjoy working with them and were never disappointed. They walked us through every step and the final result was amazing. We had a lot of ideas, some of them were very important to us. They showed us respect throughout and were so much fun to work with. When the day finally arrived, we were truly amazed. The most touching moment for me was when I noticed the hanging tea light holders were the ones I sent a picture of! Mandy went out of her way to get those for us and it showed me that she really cared. That was so thoughtful. My guests were blown away by the décor. We had some last minute changes due to unexpected cold weather that could have stressed us out but Mandy and took care of everything. And, we would never have gotten through the day without Vanessa, our day of director. Mandy's recommendation to use her for directing the rehearsal and wedding day was invaluable. There was so much to do and think about and Vanessa was with us all the way. An English Flower Cottage has a fabulous group of talented professionals working with them. My husband and I are from Miami and when we decided to plan a destination wedding at the Lake Lure Inn and Spa about a year ago, I thought it would be a difficult venture. Mandy made the whole process of planning and coordinating with vendors a pleasant experience. She was always accessible and worked within our budget. During the rehearsal, Linda was wonderful! A lot of patience is required to deal with our big family and she managed to coordinate the details of the ceremony in an efficient manner. The decorations on the arch for the ceremony were beautiful and the flower arrangements and décor that were used for the reception matched perfectly with the theme of our wedding. I felt that Mandy really took the time to get to know me as the arrangements and décor were exactly what I envisioned for the wedding. It exceeded all my expectations as it had been difficult for me to imagine that things would turn out so amazing being that it was a destination wedding. I felt at ease the day of the wedding as Mandy‘s calming demeanor and supportive nature assured me that I had nothing to worry about except enjoying the experience. The reception went smoothly! The staff at An English Flower Cottage are warm and friendly and super helpful. I trusted them 110% with any decision I was not sure about...I said you are the professionals, I trust you, do what you think should be done and I will be happy with it...they made my wedding absolutely gorgeous!

AMAZING!!! Mandy and Linda were the stars of our wedding! Not only did they provide us with the most stunning floral arrangements, but they also added so many beautiful details that we ended up not using our decorator! Although we were planning our wedding from VA, Mandy was always just a phone call or e-mail away! I took in tons of photos at the beginning and she helped me to figure out what drew me to those pictures. From there, she created the most beautiful enchanted feeling I could only dreamed of!! We had flowers, lanterns, crystals.... absolutely stunning. The service was phenomenal, they were there early to set up and they were back at the venue taking down the floral arrangements well after 12am. I can not speak highly enough of these two women and they're ability to really visualize the wedding of your dreams!! Two other notable aspects are: they showed up sample bouquets before the wedding and there were also able to substitute out more expensive flowers and still able to provide us with the same feel we were going for. Mandy & Linda made our wedding dreams come true! On our first visit we thought we had a general idea of what we wanted. We shared our ideas and over the course of several months (and much patience and participation from Mandy and Linda) we pinpointed the most beautiful floral arrangements. Not only did these two ladies do an outstanding job with our flowers but they added so much extra beauty that we barely needed our decorator! It was hard at first putting our trust into a florist that we had never met (we live in DC and were married at the Biltmore Esate) however, upon arriving at their store, you will immediately feel like you have come to the right place. Their store is just a small sample of the creativity that these women have. They will not say no if there is any chance that they will be able to do what you are asking. On top of their abilities, they are generous and add extra flowers were they feel they are needed. They go FAR beyond the call of duty. It is immediately evident that these two women are in this line of business because of their passion and love of floral beauty. We have not yet received our photos but we do plan on mailing down several pictures of our flowers. Mandy and Linda are A++! The ladies at An English Flower Cottage were sooo wonderful! we came in with a few ideas and they took that to the next level and beyond. Everything was beautiful - the wedding was outside with inside reception and veranda dancing. Each area blended in with the next, the flowers and greenery were outstanding. The bride's bouquet was beyond exceptional. When I show pictures, everyone still oohs and aahs about the set up. It easily looked like a ten thousand dollar wedding, and we paid less than three thousand for all the flowers and decorating. An English Flower Cottage staff were professional and friendly. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!

My husband and I were married 5 years ago and hired the services of An English Flower Cottage to help with the planning, venue, tux rentals, photography and flowers for the wedding and reception. After our first meeting and discussion of what we were looking for, we realized we could rely on their expertise and were very satisfied with their suggestions. We were married in and spent the first few nights as husband and wife at The Red Horse Inn and Cottages in Landrum, SC. My father and I were transported by horse drawn carriage from our private hillside cottage to the Inn for the ceremony. We had a small, simple wedding, but after Mandy and Linda put on the final touch, it was absolutely elegant! Mandy and Linda did the most BEAUTIFUL job for our Wedding. We sat down with them one time and they captured exactly what we envisioned. Actually, it was MORE than what we had hoped for and it almost made me cry to see our reception venue. The floral arrangements were so tall and dramatic--everyone was talking about them. They even managed to impress my dad who's a tough one to impress! I couldn't believe that flipping through magazines and a few pictures at their lovely flower shop turned into the beautiful presentation on each table. It blew us away!
