All my now husband and I have to say is WOW!! Wendy, her husband and all her staff were incredible! Our wedding day was so looked forward to and when it arrived it could not have been more beautiful:-) From the beautiful landscapes, scenery, decor, food, and so much more!! The 1812 Hitching Post went above and beyond and made all our dreams come true for Our Wedding day, right down to the send off with sparklers:-) They do it all and if there is something you need or want they will make it happen!! Our friends and family were so blown away and could not stop talking about how beautiful The 1812 Hitching Post was! They have everything you need right at your finger tips for the perfect day!! Wendy is so sweet and we could not have asked for a better venue!! She made getting married so much easier with so little stress! We love you Wendy and all that you all did for us. We would have an event there again in a heartbeat!! We HIGHLY recommend the 1812 Hitching Post for any event!! I could keep going on and on..A must see for sure!!

The 1812 Hitching Post and Wendy Waldron are amazing! First of all, before you even get to the wedding, or even close, Wendy is at your side! I know she is extremely busy, but you will never once feel that way! The best part about the Hitching Post is Wendy, she is an amazing woman who make you feel like the sky is the limit, that anything you envision for your wedding she can make happen. She never made us feel that we could not do what we wanted, and was very concerned with making our wedding not only a possiblity through flexible payment arrangments, but also making it personal. She ensured that our wedding was made for us, and on the day, that is exactly what it felt like. Wendy and her staff are amazing at making your vision a reality, but also rescuing you when things go wrong, and trust me they will! But even with the hiccups, I never felt like there were any differences. Wendy's elegance and gracious nature made me calm and content with how things would turn out and they were perfect. We absolutely loved the hitching post and wendy, we had so much fun at such a gorgeous place, we cannot imagine having had our wedding at any other place! It was perfect! Thanks Wendy!

Everything from the beautiful decorations to the delicious food to the gracious staff to the great dj to the charming officiant to the fabulous photographer and wedding coordinator made our special day absolutely perfect at 1812 Hitching Post Farm!!! All we had to do was enjoy ourselves and our guests - and we did so immensely. I so appreciate everything that Wendy and Patrick did to make our wedding beautiful, fun, and care-free. I enthusiastically recommend 1812 Hitching Post Farm to anyone looking to have the perfect wedding.

Wendy and her staff were wonderful. I had family coming from out of state and this place was so convenient. We had planned an outdoor ceremony but due to rain and unusually cold day the ceremony had to be moved indoors, Wendy called that morning to tell me he plans. When I Got there they had done an amazing job moving the ceremony indoors and made it look beautiful. my guest commented on how great the food was. Wendy mades sure that my husband a I led the buffet line and her staff catered to my husband an I the whole time. The cake was beautiful and tasted great. Wendy also did my bridal pics and we had some on display for my wedding and the guest all complimented them. Our wedding was very intimate about 50 guest, I think this is the perfect place for any size wedding. We had looked at several places before, but we booked as soon as we visited. We loved it and could not have made a Bette decision.

Due to a busy schedule I had to plan my wedding from a distance, but I knew from my first contact with Wendy that she was organized and experienced and could be trusted. She was always available by email and was very flexible. This is the perfect venue for getting married outdoors in North Carolina, if she doesn't provide the service herself she has suggestions for trustworthy vendors who do (ie: limo, flowers, hotel, etc). The day came off perfectly, it felt like a dream, and it was so nice to see all of the details I had dreamed of around me. As the day drew closer I was thankful to have someone else coordinating and "running interference" for me so I could just enjoy my day. Her staff are extremely professional and I can honestly say "nothing went wrong" that day.

I couldn't have asked for a better venue! I received so many compliments on the ceremony, food, cake, music, decorations...everything! Wendy was great! She always made time to answer any questions I had, help me remain calm and took all the stress of the big day off of me! I was able to enjoy every moment of it. I asked her to design my centerpieces and I absolutely loved them! The food was delicious and I LOVED my cake! I'm not sure I could have done this without the help of Wendy and her staff! Thank you so much for a beautiful, amazing day!

Wendy & Patrick Waldron and everyone at 1812 Hitching Post went above and beyond our expectations. My Wedding Day was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT and completely STRESS-FREE!! Wendy has her job perfected!! I would recommend 1812 Hitching Post and the wedding packages they provide to ANY BRIDE!!! From the most beautiful wedding photos, the best tasting wedding cake ever, gorgeous rooms for the bride to get dressed, customized reception music, all floral arrangements taken care of for me, the list goes on and on.... AMAZING SERVICE on an absolutely breath-taking landscape!!

My Wedding Day Was May 7th, 2011. My Husband And I Got Married At The 1812 Hitching Post. It Was The Wedding Of My Dreams. As The Bride, You May Think That The Day Will Be Very Stressful, But I Can Tell You From Experience, Having My Wedding At The Hitching Post Was ANYTHING BUT That. Everything That I Asked For Was Taken Care Of. I Don't Remember Being Stressed One Bit. I Was Able To Enjoy My Day Without Worrying About Anything. Wendy & Her Staff Made My Dreams A Reality. If I Wanted Something That Wendy Didn't Have, She Got It For Me. The Decorations That I Wanted Were Perfect. I Chose A Picture Of The Cake That I Wanted And Sent It To Them. The Cake Decorator Is Amazing. He Matched The Picture To My Cake Perfectly. The DJ Was Amazing. He Really Made Me Feel Special And Like My Opinon Was The Only One That Mattered. The Food Was More Than Good. ! I've Heard Stories From Other Brides That They Didn't Get To Eat The Day Of Their Wedding, But Not Us!! Wendy And Her Staff Made Sure My Husband & I Were The First Ones In Line!!! I Think The BEST Thing About The Whole Thing Was That After My Husband & I Said Our Goodbyes And Left....Our Parents Got To Do The Same. They Didn't Have To Stay Afterwards And Clean Anything. They Didn't Have To Take Down Chairs Or Tables. All They Had To Do Was Get In Their Cars And Drive Home. Thank You Wendy & Staff For Making My Day A Memory Forever.

Wendy was an absolutely DREAM to work with! Both my husband and I are military stationed outside of NC, and were only able to meet with Wendy once before the wedding. However Wendy made planning everything remotely extremely easy, and was quickly responsive both by email and by phone. The venue is beautiful, the DJ & food were both fantastic, and the price for everything was way better than anything I could ever have found elsewhere. Wendy made our dream wedding happen, in a very short period of time, and I can't recommend this venue enough to anyone who's considering it!

A great big “Thank You” goes out to Wendy and her staff at the 1812 Hitching Post. She and her team did a phenomenal job in making our day so very special and memorable for us and all of our friends and family. I knew that the Hitching Post was the place for us when a patient of mine recommended it and said, “the wedding coordinator (Wendy) is extremely organized and on top of things and takes care of it ALL for you”. Location is always important for a wedding, but for me the person who would be in charge of the whole event mattered just as much as the setting. My “Type A”, controlling, and obsessive personality makes it hard for me to release the reins and let someone else run the show. Wendy never missed a beat and made me feel confident in her skills immediately. She answered every question and email promptly (and some days I sent several), making wonderful suggestions along the way and erasing all of my concerns. Her caring personality, positive attitude, and true desire to make our wedding special warmed my heart. Thanks to Wendy, I can honestly say that I never gave a single thought on my wedding day to any of the details I would normally be stressing over. I entrusted the entire day to her and her team, and it was better than we could have ever imagined. She puts her heart and soul into every bride and groom and takes a personal interest in every wedding she hosts. I think this is how she is able to make the day so personal and special for each couple. She truly is very gifted at her job and she is what makes the Hitching Post such an ideal place to get married. As for the food, cake, decorations, music, and grounds….everything was perfect! Our family and friends have nothing but warm and positive things to say about it all. I think that everyone who attended experienced a caring and loving atmosphere from the attentiveness demonstrated by Wendy and her staff. There was definitely an ambiance of happiness and togetherness that belongs at a wedding. Cheers to Wendy and her team for making everyone feel welcome and have such a wonderful time! The wedding was for my daughter. Since she was getting married in North Carolina and I live in California the logistics seemed impossible until we found 1812 Hitching Post. Wendy planned and supplied almost everything except the clothing. It all went without a hitch even though things were changed many times. A few days before the wedding we changed flower orders for the fourth time. The setting is wonderful, the pictures captured some very intiment moments, the food and cake was great and all at a huge savings. She also gives a military discount which really helped and arranged the rehearsal around the groom's duty assignments. Wendy was easy to work with and had a lot of good ideas which really helped me because I have never planned anything like this.

I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE MY WEDDING OVER AND OVER AGAIN EVERY WEEKEND!!! WE HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING EVER! EVERYONE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FUN TO WORK WITH. THEY DID ALL OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHY. WE DID ENGAGEMENT, BOUDIOR, AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY. IT WAS A VERY RELAXED ENVIRONMENT TO BE IN. I WAS ABLE TO JUST GIVE PICTURES AND IDEAS AND THEY MADE IT WORK TO SUIT OUR BIG DAY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS VENUE TO ANY AND EVERYONE.... SOME PEOPLE(BRIDES) DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF HAVING A FULL PACKAGE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T ALWAYS HAVE THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. BUT, I MUST SAY, OUR FOOD WAS AMAZING, OUR CAKE WAS EVEN BETTER, THE AREA IS BEAUTIFUL, AND IT IS ALL BASED ON WHAT YOU AS THE COUPLE WANT.

From the moment we first visited the 1812 Hitching Post, we knew we had found the perfect place to get married. Wendy guided us along every step of the way and I was able to relax and not stress too much before the wedding. The wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more. So many of our guests have complimented the wedding site and how smoothly things went. One of our favorite things was definitely the cake!! It looked so beautiful and it was absolutely delicious! We also thought that the DJ was really good. He tracked down some of our more difficult song selections and played everything that we'd asked for and with perfect timing too.

1812 Hitching Post was a wonderful venue to be married in. Wendy and her staff did an excellent job of preparing everything to our liking. The food was delicious as was the cake. The place was decorated beautifully and was EXACTLY what we dreamed of. The professional photography was truly amazing. I would highly recommend The 1812 Hitching Post to any couple.

Everyone at the 1812 Hitching Post was extremly friendly and helpful. We had a specific style that we were set on our wedding turning out. Wendy and her team hit it right on the head!And created exactly the look we were going for! The food was amazing and we got lots and lots of compliments from our guests on how impressed they were with everything. I was a little dissapointed with the formal pictures because we forgot our "must- have photos list" and missed out on many pictures we really wanted because we didnt remember them all at that point and time. I would suggest making sure this list is distributed to wendy and her photographers long before the ceremony that way if they are lost or forgotten the results will not suffer since you cannot go back and re-do any of these pictures. As with any wedding there are minor glitches here and there. Wendy and her team did a wonderful job keeping track of so many details but with changing my song to enter to the week of , they wound up being some confusion and the wrong one played. Not a huge deal and wendy was able to make sure the correct song was overlayed on top of hte original audio for our video :). Even though there were minor details i was sad got messed up, wendy went above and beyond post wedding to edit pictures, adjust mistakes and make sure i was truly satisfied with everything involving my wedding day! I thoroughly enjoyed working with wendy and her team and they did an amazing job! They were so fantastic and i would highly recommend them to any couple! Just remember to have all bases covered ahead of time!
