Camp Sky Ranch Events

Camp Sky Ranch Events is a collaborative effort between Ken and Wendy Gordon of The Gamekeeper and  Jack and Lori Sharp of Camp Sky Ranch. 

Our mission is to preserve the heritage, vision and architecture of Camp Sky Ranch while maximizing it’s potential. We are focused on creating a venue for weddings and events while continuing to serve the same individuals that Camp Sky Ranch was created for.

Camp Sky Ranch was a family owned & operated summer camp for the physically and developmentally disabled. This wonderful camp was created in the 1940's by Jack B. Sharp & ran for over 60 years with the help of his family and friends. In 2008, the camp came to a bittersweet close, but we want to see its hertitage live on & find ways to  serve those indiviuals it was created for.

The Gamekeeper is a fine dining establishment in Boone,NC, whose eclectic menu features wild game entrees as well as Southern favorites, recreated with originality and elegance. Ken Gordon, owner and chef, came to the Sharp family with a vision of a full service wedding venue...gorgeous setting, great food, and a history to enrich the entire event. He and his wife, Wendy are thrilled to work with our clients to create any style menu for any type of budget, for any event. Imagine a Gamekeeper menu for an elegant wedding reception or Bar-B-Q for a family reunion, and anything in between!!
